Technology in the UK – report to shadow education team (2009)
January 12, 2011
In September 2009, having been asked to by the shadow education team, I submitted Technology in Education as a ‘think piece’ about the state of technology in schools then, with specific actions about how to develop our education system to take advantage of the leading position that the UK had assumed in the world.
Having heard Nick Gibb’s comments recently on technology – I thought I would publish this document for wider consumption as variety of possible approachs that schools (choosing for themselves) could adopt in concert with colleagues and the industry in general.
Thanks to John Galloway for helping me put this together and to BESA for the figures.
Let me know what you think.
